1996

1996 – The Year was 1996, a critical English exam was upcoming. After 3 days of non-stop studying my good friend Nurit, with whom I studied for the test, suggests that we take a short break from studying. Despite the suggestion, I insist on continuing and do not spare her the New Age lecture that says: "I believe that if we only want, if we believe, if we invest, there will be results." And there we are. In class, she is at the other end. Her grade – 92. My grade – 42. She started to giggle, and I heard it from the other end, yet I didn’t understand what she was laughing at. At the of the class she explained, “It made me laugh, how you believed so blindly, that if you really want, and you invest, that you will succeed in the end.”

The year is still 1996, during the same month, my parents leave to attend the “Parent’s Day” at my younger brother’s elementary school. At that time, I have already been studying in high school for 2 years. When my parents met my former English teacher, she enthusiastically told them how proud she was of me, and how I was an inspiration. My parents, shocked from the situation, told the teacher that they are there for my little brother, Shimrit is in high school. But the teacher was not mistaken.
It turns out that a long list of students I taught two years before are students she sent me.
I was the private teacher of the developing town where I grew up. Every student who came to me achieved excellence.

2001

My first year of a bachelor's degree in economics is coming to an end and I am failing all my courses. That's it, it's time for a diagnosis. I was blessed with an amazing diagnostician who did not perform a casual diagnosis, but actually sat down and explained to me how the brain of people with ADHD and learning disabilities functions. At this point, I realized that what I am actually doing is teaching my students through strategies and that is why they are so successful. After that I started learning everything I could about the human brain and our way of activating it. Since then, I have never stopped learning and specializing in this field.  

2002

Finishing my last semester during my second year of my economics degree. I receive an invitation to the excellence ceremony in the mail. Innocently and a little embarrassed, I went to the administration office to ask why I received this in the mail. That is when I found out that I finished my second year with an honor of excellence! That’s what happens when you study with the correct learning strategies

I did not become an economist, but I did become a teacher for constructive education, and for 20 years I have been working with children with ADHD and learning disabilities. I see miracles happen. A child in 7th grade that didn’t know the definition of the word “Dog” now takes the highest-level English exam in 8th grade. A 4th grade student that still didn’t know how to read Hebrew, started to read English within 4 months and Hebrew within 7 months. A quote from his mother, “From kindergarten he has been switching from club to club, from teacher to teacher, nothing helped him, until you came.” Here, you can read what my students and their parents say and understand the most important thing – when working with the right learning strategies, every child, teenager, and adult can succeed.
